Full refunds will be given if written notice is received by the show manager or the show office before 8:00 A.M. Saturday, July 19. Otherwise, there will be NO refunds for show or class cancellations. Stall reservations should be made directly with Ranchotel Horse Center.

INDEMNITY AND NON-RESPONSIBILITY

All entries will be made on the approved form which includes a declaration of indemnity and non-responsibility for claims and damages against the show, show management, helpers, judges, grounds personnel and all others directly or indirectly connected with the horse show. The Owner and/or Exhibitor of horses are responsible and must pay for his own and other medical and emergency expenses in the event of accident, illness, or other incapacity, as well as those of horse(s) and other property occasioned by him, his agents or employees, or by any animal owned or exhibited by him.

REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS

Entry sheets must be completed, signed and submitted to the Event Manager. Submit a separate entry sheet for each horse (make copies as needed). The Parent or Guardian must sign for a Minor and sign the release statement at the bottom of the form as well. Incomplete entry sheets will not be accepted.

Fox Trotters must be registered with the Missouri (or American) Fox Trotter Horse Breed Association. The MFTHBA horse registration number must be provided. If you are a member of the MFTHBA, please indicate your member number as well.

If, in the judgment of the parent or guardian a youth has enough experience to ride or exhibit unaccompanied and properly control their horse in the arena, youths (17 and under) are permitted to show in all classes except where excluded by age or otherwise indicated in the show bill (see Safety, page 1). We expect all youths to wear helmets except where specifically excused by the parent or guardian in the signed release statement. We ask that you show the age of the Youth on the entry form in order that the PCFTAS and MFTHBA awards category can be determined.

We request that entries be submitted to us by mail by July 5th (postmark date). By submitting the entry form early, your class entry fees will be reduced. The reductions will apply to additions made subsequently at the show. Your early submittal also helps us to deal with the paper work ahead of time, thereby reducing delays on the day of the show.

Please sponsor a class of your choice. Indicate the class on the entry form, but allow us to select an alternate if your choice is already taken.

All entrants are requested to check in at the show office as soon as possible on the day of the show to complete entrance requirements and receive entry numbers.

QUESTIONS, DISPUTES AND SHOW RECORDS

By participating in the show the Owner/Rider agrees to abide by all of the rules set forth or referred to in this show bill. Horse Show Management reserves the right to interpret all questions related to the show. Questions not covered by rules will be decided by the Show Manager and shall be final.

All entry forms, drug information and other material submitted to the Show Management become the property of the Show and are private. Show results may be released for publication.

PLEASE NOTE

The exhibitor is required to report to the show management all prohibited drugs administered to any horse within 72 hours prior to the performance of the horse. A report will be sent to the California Department of Food and Agriculture. "A prohibited drug is a drug of such character as could affect the performance or disposition of the animal such as a stimulant, depressant, tranquilizer, anesthetic, sedative analgesic, corticosteroid, anti-inflammatory medication or sorting agent. Any drug that could be considered as a masking agent (a substance that might interfere with the detection of a prohibited drug) is also prohibited." "If the nature of any medication is in question, contact a veterinarian or call the CDFA." "Any exhibitor who violates the provisions of the Horse Drugging Law subject to fine and suspension from exhibiting and forfeiture of all winnings."

All exhibitors, owners, trainers must comply with the Horse Protection Act and cooperate fully with representatives enforcing that act. "Horses with any bilateral hair loss, scarring, callous or granulated tissue on the pasterns or coronet area indicative of the practice of soring will be excused from classes entered." "Any person on any federal (USDA) suspension or disqualification in effect during the show for violation of any provision of the Horse Protection Act may not participate in this show in any capacity other than as a spectator. Prohibited activities include: showing or exhibition horses, hauling horses to and from the show, or caring for horses. Any suspended person must restrict himself to the grandstand, rest room and concession areas and shall not linger in areas where horses are kept."

SAFETY

If you must bring a dog, it must be kept on a leash. No cantering outside of the show and practice arenas. All horses will enter the show ring at a walk. Watch bunching! Stallions are not permitted in the Lead Line, Youth, Beginning Exhibitor, Novice Rider, or Natural Horsemanship classes. Youths (17 or Under): may not exhibit or ride stallions on the grounds, and may not ride in age exclusive classes. Parents' discretion is strongly advised for the Youth's entry into the permitted classes. Wearing of safety helmets is encouraged for any class. Youths are expected to wear helmets unless their parent or guardian signs a release statement specifically allowing it.
